"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you." ~ Friedrich W. Nietzsche

Hello!

This site still receives a lotta traffic. Thank you for your continued interest.

I am still currently writing horror/suspense/pulp only in longer form. Visit my alter ego HERE for continued updates and current fiction. And please, you can call me Jodi or whatever you called me before I went all nom de plume.

Thanks for the years of loyal friendship and support.

WTF (Who's The Fruitcake) at Fruit Loops Anonymous

My muse ate too much cheesecake.
Marbles rolled.
And I'm sort of cognitively challenged at the moment.
In and out of the hospital with medical issues.

Don't know what's going on, but I'll let you know when I know. My spelling, writing, memory and focus seems to be rearranged, upside down, and inside out. So I'm very very hesitant to be writing anything on blogs, twitter, facebook or even emails at the moment. In fact, it took all day just to write this... argh! I will have you know that my imagination is perfectly fine and I am continuing to write. Although if I'll be able to interpret any of it later is questionable.

Thanks for reading, and thank in advance for your care. If I do visit blogs I'll prob just leave a: Good job. Nice. And boring sh*t like that. Because I can handle one or two wrods. I think.

I hope this passes quickly and turns out to be something simple, like you need a good rest. Sending good thoughts.

Not sure if you're serious about the hospital thing. If so, please take care of yourself, and don't force the words. We have clinical studies that show the worse health you are in, the harder it is to produce creative works. Those centers of the brain experience much lower functions, and ironically, function still worse when the artists get depressed over not being able to do good work. It's something you have to wait through, often, rather than work through.

Take care, Jodi, and e-mail me if I can do anything to help pick up your spirits.

Well the story you turned into BTAP didn't have any of those issues. Folks are going to get a kick out of your tale.

Jodi,

Sending good thoughts and vibes your way from Canada-town. Take it slow, take it easy, and get all the way better.

The stories, and all of us, will be here when you're ready.

Jodi,

I'm hoping life is just out of balance and that your health is just a minor offset of that, not something more serious.
Godspeed in your recovery and be patient with yourself. You will always be a writer, even if you are not doing it at the moment.
You know all that, and look at all the great friends you have.

Ian Ayris said...

Hope you get better soon, my friend. Look after yourself, Ian :)

Hey dear, John's advice is a wise one. Don't ask too much of yourself if you're not feeling well. We'll be right here when you get back in shape, so take your time and feel better. :)

We'll miss you and your wicked-scary-funny stories! But your well being comes first so I second John's offer, if you need anything, I'm here for you.

Love. <3

Jodi,
"Do"s:
– Know that we support you and very much want you to feel better
– Know that we're all thinking of you
– Take all the time you need
– Kick some serious doctor ass if you need to
– Let me know if you need anything.
– Think about pirates. They make everything betterrrr.

"Don't"s:
– Worry about social media right now. They're just blips. Zeros and ones.

We'll see you soon, my dear!
Margo

Oh, dear Jodie, I am so sorry I didn't see this earlier! I think of you as a *real* friend, not just a Facebook friend, and yet I didn't check in on you for over a week, and now I find that you're sick. I do so hope that the doctors find what's wrong and fix it soon! In the meantime, I'm holding my "Madam Z Magic Wand" and waving it towards Texas, along with a fervent "get-well-soon" chant. <3
