Issue #2 of disenthralled is up today! Walter Conely has dived into the editing world and designed a dark and beautiful ezine. His story, poem, and shadowy photography selections are nothing short of fantastic.
You can read the works by Bruce Brown, Amy Kelly, Quin Browne, Jeffrey S. Callico, Len Kuntz, Allie Dresser, Paul Dutra, and myself.
Read up. Support creativity, support ezines.
Big Thank You to Walter Conely for publishing my story, Painted Black.

such a cool look there and your tale fits wonderfully with the mood. color me black!
Death, indeed, needs to be black. For what other colour could there be?
Great write, Jodi. Loved the sinister and creepy feel of this piece.
Thanks guys!
How many people keep their dark obsessions in the basement? Just reading at crime library last night about a guy who kept bodies in his crawl space. It became too overcrowded. Can you imagine the smell? Yikes.
Jodi, thank you very much for your support in all this. Seeing the badge at the top of your site like that was a surprise, and a very sweet one.
And naturally, congratulations on Painted Black! That song should so enter your blog song rotation.
You are so welcome, John. ;)
And yes! Thanks for pointing out Painted Black isn't on the playlist. Ridiculous it isn't yet! Thank you for the congrats.
Best wishes for your surgery and a quick recovery.
"Shane dipped the paintbrush once more and dabbed the tooth." Ah, nothing better than a meticulous artisan. Hopefully, it won't need a second coat of paint. Really dug it, Jodi.
Thanks, Ang!
A hell of a story.
